True Love

It’s been a little over 2 years now that I have been with my girlfriend and I can honestly say that she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We still haven’t come out to our family but I’m sure our time will come. I’m very shy but watching the show and seeing that it is okay to be yourself and that there isn’t anything wrong with loving who you love is such a nice reminder coming on this website. I am so glad Tracy and Stamie have created this site, it’s been such an inspiration for me. My story began in college. We met our freshman year and became best friends. By our junior year of college we decided to get an apartment with a few of our friends. When we did a couple of weeks later we realized after spending hours together night after night that we had feelings for each other. Telling her my feelings was the scariest moment of my life.

When we finally did tell each other we decided to try and make it work. To make a long story short we ended up loosing our friendship with 2 of our other roommates because they didn’t “agree with it”. On a brighter note after just celebrating our 2- year anniversary, I would love a future with her, and have never been happier. Although there are these moments where I get afraid about the future, and what people will think and how to stay strong but I know if I stay connected with a support group and just remember that at the end of the day I need to be happy and that’s all that matters.
