Tracy’s new spot for DIXIE ULTRA plates is currently airing!
by Tracy Ryerson
This national spot for DIXIE ULTA plates was shot a few months ago in Los Angeles. The audition process is always fun, but never predictable. For this one, I was paired up with a young girl (the one you see in the spot!) and we had instant chemistry. Usually, you only have a few moments to meet and get comfortable with your stand-in daughter, and this time was no different. The only difference was that when we entered the room we decided to just have FUN! I flipped a few soggy waffles in the air (one hit the ceiling!) and caught them on a plate. The hardest part of the trick was to keep smiling throughout. Let’s just say that I can add ‘Pancake flipping Pro’ to my resume now! After some improv and a call-back or two later, the job was mine. I was officially a Dixie Mom! (cue the khaki pants!) This was a fun one to shoot! Great crew, fun location, and I learned a ton about what a food stylist does on set!
Enjoy the mom pants and pancake acrobatics! On a serious note, these plates are awesome!
