Hiding Away
Hey, My name is grace and Im from Australia. Im seventeen and my girlfriend and i have be together almost 2 years. i find it extremely difficulty hiding my sexuality away i like to be open and lovey but we are also scared to tell our parents. I love spending time together where we dont have to hide it. we have recently come out to some of our friends and they have been very supportive which is reassuring. How do you deal with the unacceptance from parents? How do you tell them your a lesbian?

First of all, do not assume that you won't be accepted! Second of all, try to open a general discussion about the subject (e.g. something on the news that has to do with gay people) to see where they stand.
Third, prepare the ground! Let them know that you are, yourself, open to such lifestyles.
Fourth, find a good time, when your parents are calm and in a good mood, and just explain the situation.
If, they are surprised (after all the hints) and don't know HOW to deal with it, provide them with information! Seriously, most parents are lost when it comes to this. They need to understand. You need to make sure that they also have the help they need…
I know it sounds a bit weird (after all, it's YOU who needs their acceptance) but if your parents are super-conservative, it's just realistic to expect that they will need their time to work through it.
Sometimes, visiting a psychologist as a family might help – it's certainly a good solution to do that.
If your parents are already progressive and open to discussion most of the steps above won't be necessary.
Also, I think it's a good time to wait until you are 18, if your parents are like that. Then they certainly won't have to "protect" you, if they think you are doing something wrong.
Assess your situation and act accordingly!
well ive recently come out sort of to my mom because she found it on my facebook and i say tell them dont let them find out because it makes thing much much worse. currently im being watched like a hawk because my mom thinks i am phsycodic so its not the easiest thing to do but once you tell it could get easier.
