Choosing Me!
My story starts 3years ago. I have always been torn with my life and my sexuality. I had been in a straight relationship and had 2 children and never felt true to myself. I left that relationship when my youngest son was 3mo. old and finally did something for myself. I have since meet the girl of my dreams and we just got married in October in beautiful Provincetown Massachusetts.
My wife and I were fans who NEVER missed an episode of The Real L Word! I truly felt as though I could relate in some way to every single girl! I especially loved watching Stamie and Tracy 🙂 My now wife could relate to Tracy who come into a relationship with kids. Where Stamie gave me a special confidence in being a lesbian and being a mom! I love what this show is about and I love how it makes me feel like there are “real” ladies out there just like me!
I look forward to watching more seasons of this show and these ladies. Being a mom with two sons I can not imagine the struggles we as a family will have. I look for ways to connect with people who have the same struggles, concerns and love as I do. I feel as though this show even though its “just a show” feels much bigger than that! Thank you ladies for sharing your lives! It helps me live mine 🙂

Your story is so similar to mine!!! I too left a straight relationship with my two kids to "choose me". It was a roller coaster ride but now almost 9 years and 3 kids later my wife and I live, laugh and love and my heart is truly happy. I teach my kids to make your heart happy whatever that may be and we will always support them no matter what!!! I am on twitter jj1274 feel free to connect 🙂 Peace and Love from the East Coast!
Thanks so much for the sweet message! When we decided to partake in the reality show, we had no idea about how far into the world and people's lives it would reach. It's been such a great experience! And to hear your story so full of confidence and beauty, it only helps to add to the positivity that we're trying to spread. So thank you for sharing, thank you for watching, and mostly, thank you for being who you are! And whenever things get tough, just remember you have a community full of support behind you here.
All the best!
xx Tracy
